Glenn R. Plummer is an ordained minister, pastor, broadcaster, entrepreneur, and leader. He founded the Christian Television Network (CTN) in 1982 and went on to own and operate three local independent TV stations, two in Detroit, Michigan and one in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is most well known as the host of a daily, live, one-hour TV program entitled CTN Live! - the flagship program of the Christian Television Network.
Passionate, outspoken and confrontational, Plummer is admired for his courage and leadership in dealing with the most controversial issues of our culture from a foundation of biblical principles and Christ-like compassion. For more than two decades, he has worked diligently as a pioneer in the field of Christian broadcasting. Pastor Plummer recently ended his 3 1/2-year term as Chairman and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the first and only African American to hold that position in the 66-year history of the NRB.
Israel has come to hold a special place in Rev. Plummer?s life as he has visited and led tours to the Holy Land on several occasions. A burden and vision for Israel and Black America was placed in Pastor Plummer?s heart several years ago. The year 2004 proved to be pivotal in unfolding a new role of leadership for Plummer in the African American and Evangelical community regarding Israel. Thus, the Fellowship of Israel and Black America (FIBA) was launched in February 2006.
A prolific Bible teacher and passionate speaker, Rev. Plummer is often invited to be keynote speaker. A man of prayer and unity, he has headed the Detroit Day of Prayer for almost a decade.
Pastor Plummer attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan and Brooklyn College in New York City where he majored in Personnel Management. He also attended William Tyndale Bible College in Detroit, Michigan.
He is the Senior Pastor of Ambassadors For Christ Church &ndash a growing and vibrant Detroit area church, which also includes the Wendell Wallace Bible Institute.
Plummer sits on the Board of Directors of the National Religious Broadcasters and the Board of Advisors of El Al Israel Airlines, the official airline of the State of Israel.
