NATIONAL SUMMIT
This Summit is the pre-eminent event in the nation aimed to build a dynamic relationship between the African American and Jewish communities. National leaders from both communities will converge at the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield, Michigan on September 14th and at the Musuem of African American History on September 15th to explore historic and current issues confronting our communities. A buffet and kosher luncheon will be served.
Paying special attention to the cry for freedom and justice for all mankind that embodies the fabric of both communities, we will build upon our common Judeo-Christian heritage, our successes during the Civil Rights Era, as well as our historical and spiritual parallels. The Summit also boldly confronts the issues that divide us. Issues including but not limited to slavery, the Middle East Conflict, the Palestinian Question, Islam and the Black community, Affirmative Action, Blacks and Jews in media and entertainment, and the Ghetto.
We invite you to join in the discussion, and leave both empowered and enlightened by the fellowship. FIBA is not involved in the political policy of the State of Israel.
To compliment these events we invite you to join us for tours of the Holocaust Museum and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History which will conclude with a buffet and kosher luncheon.
